One of the most surprising events connected to the 20th Grand Finale of GOCC unveiled:
Paul Jr. Designs, an American company known thanks to the Discovery Channel program called “American Chopper”, is going to build a special chopper especially for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity!
The contract for the construction of the motorcycle has already been signed between Paul Jr. Designs and GOCC. The chopper, dedicated by its constructors to GOCC, is going to contain both elements connected with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and with Woodstock Festival Poland. Among other things, the project includes GOCC coins, which will be issued by Polish National Bank in January 2012.
The Orchestra chopper will be a unique vehicle, specially constructed just for the 20th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. On December 5th, the chopper will be put up for auction in our auction service: www.aukcje.wosp.org.pl. The winner will have the right to own it for one year. Then, the vehicle will be returned to the Foundation and used at another auction during the 21st Grand Finale.
The motorcycle will be transported to Poland by UPS, a long-standing partner of the Orchestra. It will be unveiled as a whole during a live TV broadcast during the 20th Grand Finale of GOCC. Before that, however, you will be able to see some of its parts.
The Orchestra’s originator and conductor doesn’t conceal how proud he is of this project:
Is there anyone among people interested in motorcycles who wouldn’t have heard of the American Choppers series? The program is broadcast in 165 countries, and it is enjoying enduring popularity. This family saga tells us the story of motorcycle creation, and every episode is devoted to a different aspect of this work. The constructors of those great machines draw inspiration from history, recent events and even from private life. Millions of people worldwide follow the life of the Teutul family: the work they do together, the conflicts the have to deal with, and the joy they feel when one of their incredible vehicles is finished.
What have seen this time is a story of two competing garages. As the family business has been split, now we can follow the exciting challenge between the father and the son. Marcin TuliÅ„ski, our friend from New York, decided to try and order a special chopper for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. In the spring, we visited Paul’s garage and set out basic rules for our joined project. Paul saw and highly enjoyed our videos about the Grand Finale and Woodstock Festival Poland. He said that our work will be a great source of inspiration for his next chopper.
The work has started! What will the Orchestra Chopper be like? It will be a big surprise. The motorcycle will only be unveiled during the 20th Grand Finale of GOCC. On December 5th, it will be put out for auction, and the lucky bidder who gets it will have the right to own it for one year. Unfortunately, an American chopper does not fulfill European traffic norms, so it can’t be used on the road. Not trying to adjust it to our legal regulations was a deliberate choice of ours; we wouldn’t want to interfere with the chopper’s appearance or construction. For that reason the winner of the auction will only be able to use it as an exhibit.
Visit the Owsiaknet.plwebsite to see a video of featuring Paul, which was recorded at the end of October in New York City.
